{"id":3975,"date":"2019-06-19T21:32:51","date_gmt":"2019-06-20T01:32:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/?p=3975"},"modified":"2019-07-27T22:04:04","modified_gmt":"2019-07-28T02:04:04","slug":"tunnels-and-pumps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/?p=3975","title":{"rendered":"Tunnels and pumps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I found that all the wiring I&#8217;d run between the instrument panel and cockpit center section just wasn&#8217;t going to fit in the &#8220;tunnel&#8221; that covers up wiring, brake lines (for nosedragger RVs) and fuel lines running from the firewall and instrument panel to the fuselage center section. Oops.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-04-20-12.37.35-copy-e1564278588827.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3979\" src=\"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-04-20-12.37.35-copy-e1564278588827-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Oops\" width=\"584\" height=\"779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-04-20-12.37.35-copy-e1564278588827-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-04-20-12.37.35-copy-e1564278588827-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a>The solution was to fabricate a bracket that moves the pump\/filter up and forward enough to accommodate an L-shaped fuel line that doesn&#8217;t interfere with the wire bundles behind it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-06-14-14.11.49.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3980\" src=\"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-06-14-14.11.49-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Fixing the oops\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-06-14-14.11.49-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-06-14-14.11.49-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-06-14-14.11.49-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mightyrv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2019-06-14-14.11.49-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a>The bracket attaches to the existing pump mounting holes in the tunnel cover.
