The weather this morning was beautiful, so I rolled the fuselage outside to get some pictures with most of the skins on and the test-painted interior panels in place. All that work on the rolling fuse stand was worth it, by the way.
Looks pretty good, I think…almost like an airplane fuselage!
The interior color looks pretty good…hopefully it’s not too light to cast a lot of reflections on the canopy. Ellen likes it, and I think we’ll stick with it. Our seats are on the way from Luke and the folks at Classic Aero Designs. By the end of the month we’ll be able to sit in the airplane for the first time!
Looks awesome! Most of the paint will be covered by seats, I think the more canopy-inducing glare will be due to the panel… And there is a bunch. Will keep the temp somewhat cooler inside, at least. Strongly suggest a Koger sunshad pairing!
Thanks Andy! A Koger sunshade is definitely going to be in the airplane. I hadn’t thought much about the panel being a source of glare, perhaps we should consider painting it a darker color…
If Ellen’s happy, everybody’s happy!
